“The younger generation should learn from the enthusiastic people like Shaheed-E-Azam S. Bhagat Singh and his comrades, they are the real ideals”, said Prof. Lakhbir Singh, President PAHAL Youth Organization. PAHAL remembers S. Bhagat Singh by organizing voluntary blood donation camp with the collaboration of Mehr Chand Polytechnic institute jalandhar city. This day is dedicated by PAHAL to S. Bhagat Singh, and in honour young students donate blood to help the society and for their own inter personal development.
Every year almost 500 units of bloods are collected from camps held at LPU. The purpose of PAHAL is not limited only to collection of blood camps but also to motivate the youth to come forward and work for the development of the society and to work for their own personality development. Students motivated by the PAHAL from LPU not only donate blood on camps but also donate blood when there is urgent need of blood. PAHAL thanks LPU and their students for there much needed help in the society.
The event mark 83rd anniversary of shaheed -E-Azam S. Bhagat Singh in MCPJ in collaboration with NSS, MCPJ. Er. Jagroop Singh Principal said that today’s youth needs to follow footprints of our martyrs to fights the evils facing Indian society today. Prof Lakhbir Singh President Pahal said that Shaheed Azam took the freedom a challenge to liberate the nation from foreigners rule; today’s youth has number of challengers as illiteracy, idleness, drugs and social unrest prevailing all around. Although we have big number of youth, but it is needed to get them to the main stream of National development, only the awareness, of the life histories of our national heroes can inspire and motivate the same. More than 70 young boys and girls donated blood in the sacred memory of Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh. Among other there were NSS officer Mr. Durjesh Jandhi, Khushwant Singh Chahal, Gagan Sharma, Ms Jagdeep Kaur, Agyapal Kaur, Simeranjit Kaur. Dr. Gagandeep Singh BTO Jalandhar MS Sudeep Dhillon Along with Blood Team collected Blood. A clarion was given to youth to come forward to Donate blood and to avoid shedding blood in streets
