District biological diversity committee under the patronage of Punjab Bio-Diversity Board Govt. of Punjab organize special function to celebrate International Day for Biological diversity in collaboration with NGO PAHAL. Sh. Pritam Singh ADC Jalandhar presided over the function and said that the conservation maintenance and development of biological diversity is mega task before us, it is running through transitional phase, the education and awareness is the need of the hour. Prof. Lakhbir Singh President PAHAL and Nodal officer BMC told that people’s Biodiversity register is very important document which can give proper account of biological diversity of a area.

He presented upon all sectors of society and Govt. department to contribute for PSR. Dist Agriculture officer Dr. Mangaljit Singh talked about agricultural bio diversity. Dist. Guidance s counselor briefed about the biological diversity conservation activities being carried out by different School. Dr. Prem Khatta, Principal sukhchain singh, Ms Parvinder Kaur also addressed Er. Laikatbir Singh Conducted a quiz with the students on the issue of Biological Diversity and the winner were given attractive prizes. Among other there were sh. Bunesh Bakhshi supd ADC, Er. Kuldeep Singh SDO PPCB, Er. Jalinder Sodhi, Dr. Mangal Singh, Sh DAO Dr. Prem Katta Distt Ayavedic officer Surjit Lal Dist. Guidance counselor sukhchain Singh Headmaster, Er. Anup Aryan, Er. Liakatbir Singh, Navjot Singh, Km Deekhsha, Paramjit Jp, Mrs Parvinder Kaur along with other staff members and 200 students.
