Youth organization ‘PAHAL’ organized Voluntary Blood Donation Camp in the campus of NIRMAAN School. The main feature of this camp was that the star cast of newly coming comedy movie ‘MY SELF GHAINT’ , not only remained at VBDC site but they themselves donated blood Miss Dolly Sidhu the lead role (Female) and Mr. Gaurav Kakkar lead role (Male) inaugurated the camp by donating blood voluntarily. They promised to keep on contributing to the cause of promotion of voluntary blood donation. Prof. Lakhbir Singh president ‘PAHAL’ said that low health standard, less HB and lack of education and awareness in VBD are the major hurdles for achieving the target of (hundred) 100% voluntary provision of blood as envisaged by National Aids Control Society(NACO) Govt. of India through state control societies(SACS).

We are legging behind the target and could achieve only around 50% voluntary. The rest need being met by replacement donor’s. Mr. Singh appealed to the religious, community based organizations, Social organizations and political parties to feel the need of promotion of VBD. The effort’s for this camp were initiated by Mr. Ritesh an activist of film industry ‘PAHAL’ honored producers Daljit Singh & Gagandeep Singh. The lead role Miss Dolly Sidhu & Mr. Gaurav Kakkar, Mr. Ritesh, Mr. Manider Velly and benny.
Among others who contributed were Mrs. Harwinder Kaur Principal NIRMAAN School, Kamaljeet Singh Suri Retd. DEO, Ritu Kochar M/s C-Cube lounge, Dr. Ram Gopal Neuro Therapist, Dr. Navneet Kaur, with help of Councellor Sudeep Dhillon along with the help of blood bank team of Civil Hospital Jalandhar collected 31 units of blood. ‘PAHAL’ members Mr. Anup Aryan, Mrs. Meera Chaudhary, Mrs. Vibha Sharma, Mrs. Smily, Mrs. Vaishali, Mr. Pardeep Kumar, Mr. K.S Suri, Mr. Bageshwar Singh, Mrs. Meenakashi, Ms. Anita were present along with the star cast of ‘MY SELF GHAINT’, NIRMAAN School staff also assisted for the success of camp.
